I haven't been on the LT board in a long time, as I haven't been riding (like I should have) but I'm considering selling my LT and thought you all might have some ideas as I really don't know what to ask for it.

1999 K1200 LTI with
Garmin Streep Pilot III on Ram mount
Autocom
CB Radio hooked to autocom for Vox
Valentine 1 Waterproof Box on Ram Mount
Rick Meyer Custom seat rider & passenger (not heated) and original BMW Seat
Basalt Color
Unigo Matching Basalt Touring trailer with Hitch on Bike (actually installed by Unigo at a rally)

Bike has never been wrecked, has it been dropped, yes it has, more than once - I do have the new uninstalled scuff guards.
Yes the unigo has a couple of scratches but are not bad at all.
Bike has 42,910 miles and has all been BMW maintained and garage kept.
Kept on a Battery Tender and starts just fine.
Also have a Schuberth helmet with headset installed (needs a new liner)
And a Aero Stitch Darien 2 piece (about a size 40) Gray

reason for selling - not riding and have need to save up to visit family moving overseas and also help feed my ham radio addiction.

Any ideas what you would ask for it?

my email - if you want to email direct is [email protected]
not sure what I should be asking or if I should just try parting it out (I realize that's more money but would love to make a quicker sell)

Kelly Blue Book says it is worth $5720.00 plus extras.

Since you have original BMW seats, are you interested in selling the Myers? How about the UniGo?

Interested in both, and happy to ride up to LIT or meet you somewhere in between.

You can email me @ aol dot com

All of the extras add little to the re-sale value.

If you sell them individually you'll have more $$$.

{IMO} 4500-5000 would be a fair asking price. As you know? value is established by the buyer...

I just sold a Kawasaki Vulcan, and the buyer offered[and paid] so close to asking price, perhaps I should have asked higher?

I know it's off topic and if you choose not to reply? I understand

But, I have a few questions about Ham radio. What can I expect as far as activity should I become involved in the hobby. What do you all talk about? What sort of cost is involved? And is a license necessary?

If you'd rather not reply here? You can PM me @ [email protected]

Thanks, Ron

A friend of mine here just sold his 99 LT for more than he paid for it. You can view it on the Wichita Falls, Tx Craigslist. It was not cherry by any means but he made out good. He bought a 99 RT off the same Craigslist............... :D
