Group, after getting a price of 27.00 for this part, I took mine apart. There is a small plastic tab moulded to retain actuating spring. This is what broke and no longer supports spring for tension to keep door closed. Temporary repair was Velcro, but knew the adhesive wouldn't hold next summer. After looking at several options, decided to fabricate something like the vanity mirror in top case. Used magnet on door and small steel tab to match inside fuel filler compartment. Set these in JB quick Weld. Works just like vanity mirror.
I love the LT and it gets and gives incredible service but the factory price for press lock was way over the top for me.
I just wonder how many fuel door press locks have failed and what others have done to repair? Factory part or fabricated something else.
