I’ve been having this issue over the last few weeks when I apply the brakes the radio off and back on, GPS reboots and lights flicker. Sometimes the cruise control won’t work but if I apply the brakes again and it does its power cycle where the radio turns on and off and the GPS reboots then the cruise works. It did this every time I used the brakes until I stopped and got gas, then it didn’t do it again the rest of the way home. Does anyone have any suggestion?

The brakes (servo assisted) do put a high current demand on the system. Your battery maybe on its way out and cannot make up the load untill after some charging by the alternator. I would check all connections to the battery ad if they are all tight then I would have the battery load tested.

I've been out of town all week for work so I'll check out my battery connections this weekend, hopefully the issue will go away.

If your 2007 still has the original equipment battery, I would think it should be getting pretty near the end of its life.

Good call on the battery cables, the negative was a little loose, no more issue with the power cycling.

Glad it was a simple fix.

That said, if you are on the original battery, you might start saving your pennies towards a pre-emptive battery replacement. If the original, you certainly got more than your money's worth out of the current one.
