What is the plug used for with the door on it located on the bottom of the front fairing near your feet?

I use mine for my heated jacket. It's a powerlet 12 volt connection. I believe that plug stays hot all the time and that you can actually hook your battery tender to that connection.

Anything that needs 12 volts, note that it is powered all the time and does NOT go off when you shut the bike off. The one on the trunk shuts off when you power off the bike. There is also wiring (under the tupperware) on the right side that could be used for a plug mounted by the brake lever. HTH

Unswitched power direct to battery. I also use it for battery tender while bike is in winter hibernation.

If you get the special adapter for it (pn# 604b-1) it can be used to activate the "Dr. Hilda von Diesel Cement Seat Pain Training Device" which will make you a much more disciplined rider; and as you well know, we all need more discipline.
