Has anyone had the misfortune in finding oil floating in the radiator when he took the cap off ?.

If so, was the fault and reason easy to find and what was it ?.

Thanks in advance for any leads on this.

I'll pray for you and your bike!

Baring something real freaky, the only way I know of for oil and antifreeze to mix is a bad head gasket.

Have you found coolant in the oil?

It also could be the oil/waterpump assy as well. They are a one piece unit.

Thanks for all your replies so far.

The dealer changed the head gasket but the problem started recurring after 10.000 miles so I also think it could be the oil/water pump.

I can´t understand how there can be a transfer between liquids as there is a drip hole between the seals.

Any sugestions ?

Unless the weep hole is plugged with something, it's unlikely that it's the oil/water pump. It could be a warped or cracked head. Did the motor overheat?
