The RT is being made redundant!!.. I recently bought a Burgman scoot for commuting to work and enjoyed it so much I took it away on a 3day vacation. 750miles It didn't use any oil, the fuel pump unit didn't break down, the ESA didn't break down, the rear wheel bearing didn't collapse and I Don't carry extended warranty.....who needs an RT??..

How did it ride at 95 mph, fully loaded, two up?

I went on a 9,212 km trip a few weeks ago, two up for 5,000 of those km top box and saddle bags filled for the entire trip. I did have to top up the oil once but otherwise not a hiccup. Very happy with the RT so far.

Hi Johnny, I have an idea where you are going with that one, I expected it!!.. I'm 64, I don't need a "2 up" motorcycle any longer and if you look closely at the photo that is a far better use for the pillion seat. As for 95mph it sailed along beautifully at 85mph and I ain't in that much of a rush to get anywhere these days!!.. The Big Guy upstairs will get me soon enough thanks. :wave

Hi Guys, I don't want to hijack this thread talking about scooters although BMW have seen the light and building one but I don't like the price. Fuel capacity 13ltrs/3.4 gllns. 70+ mpg at around 55+ It's obviously understood that if you try and ride it like a 1200 it will drink the stuff.
Didn't like the looks of the SilverWing I'm afraid.

Sorry nothing left from the bike only an old licence plate,. Guy picks it up on Sat inc the tank bag.
