I just got back from a run through No.Cali and on the way down suddenly needed a tire outside of Crater Lake, OR after running from Central Wa. on chip seal backroads at 100°f+ and there is a great BMW dealership (Hansen's) between Ashland and Medford that mounted a rear tire for me in 30 minutes (I removed and installed the wheel myself as their "tech" crashed his Ducati over the weekend and was recovering). While there, there was a traveling 2005 LT with 188k miles and a puked FD... anyone from here?
Damn hot though... came out of Lassen Nat. Park and into Red Bluff, CA at 105°f and headed into Arcata, CA at 55°f... stayed that way for 2 days up the coast as well. Hard on the body, and now my front tire looks funny from the heat and crowned roads with noticeable tread missing from the left side of it.
