…for the 2nd Annual “Ride 4 Kids” in Pleasanton! The Registration, Start and Finish Point is the Pleasanton Middle School, 5001 Case Avenue, Pleasanton, CA. Registration runs from 7:30 a.m. through 9:45 a.m. The police escorted ride begins at 10:00 a.m., sharp, and lasts about an hour and a quarter. The ride, itself, will be followed by a hosted light lunch.

I’ll be leading a ride from the Long’s Parking lot, located on the Northwest corner of the Intersection of Olympic and California Blvds in Walnut Creek. If you’re coming from either direction on Hwy 680, take the Olympic Blvd Exit , in Walnut Creek, and at the light located at the bottom of the ramp from either direction, turn East and proceed 1-2 blocks on Olympic to the meeting point on your left. I’ll be leaving that location at 8:15 a.m. We’ll arrive at the Pleasanton Middle School in plenty of time for you to register for the event, and partake in coffee and pastries before the event begins.

Here’s your chance to lend meaningful support to the children who have survived this horrible affliction, and those that are still in the fight of their young lives. Pediatric Brain Tumors are now the #1 cancer killing our children under the age of 15 years. Come together with the two wheeled riding community, and show that we do care!

This event will bring together various motorcycle clubs like the Blue Knights International Police Officers Motorcycle Club, the Wind & Fire Firefighter’s Motorcycle Club, various HOG Chapters, various Motorscooter Clubs and sportbike riders. Various motorcycle & motorscooter dealers, and restaurants are not only supporting the “Ride 4 Kids”, but in some cases, sponsoring their own rides to the venue. Ride Packets are still available at several locations throughout the greater San Francisco Bay Area, including:

Additional and Updated information regarding the "Ride 4 Kids"

In my original postings, I said that Registration began at 0730 hrs; however registration for the Pleasanton event will begin at 0800 hrs. Registration will continue until 0945 hrs, with the ride beginning at 1000 hrs.

If you have not received your Ride Packets yet and have not garnered any donations for the event, you should be aware that the minimum donation to ride in the "Ride 4 Kids" is $35. per motorcycle, the same as when we participated in the "Bridge to a Cure" ride for MDA. This is the major fundraising event for the "Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation", and we're all very hopeful that the members of this forum will make a big difference in those efforts.

See you Sunday!
