What brand are you installing? You can purchase the front spring from Hyperpro for less than 200$. Just a thought.

New rear shock..now.......
Ok I know you should change th shocks together but I had the cash for 1 so I got the rear. Now the front shock feels mushy. Really bad mushy. So now a Ohlins front shock will be in my immediate future.

put a ohlins on the rear.
If you need help, get ready to install, give me a call, I would love to help and learn to do the work, practice on your bike before I tackle my own bike. Just a thought.
