I had a Mr. Bill-like companion for quite a while (see my avatar), he rode on top of my front brake lever. Great guy, he always got a smile from small children in cars waiting at stoplights. Unfortunately, as I was riding along in Oakland CA a few months ago his head, arms, torso and one leg just disappeared. All that was left was the other leg. Not sure whether he fell off or whether he was the random victim of a drive-by shooting but I haven't ridden that road since.
Gotta get me a new companion. I was thinking of digging out one of those damn Beanie Babies that my kids collected 15-20 years ago but I'm not sure how it would stand the all-weather riding I do.
