Last March I bought a new Honda Ridgeline....great SUT, by the way. Mostly car but part truck too. Drives extremely well and handles the twisties like a large sports car. It is fun to drive.

Anyway, Saturday I got a letter from Honda along with a new warranty book and new handbook. They increased the factory warranty from 3 years 36,000 miles to 5 years 60,000 miles. I'm glad I didn't shell out the $1200 for an extended warranty. I'll wait a couple of months and then see if I can get an extended warranty out to 100,000.

Never had a car company increase the warranty after I purchased the vehicle.

I have been a Honda owner for many years. I am now on my third Accord in 22 years. I usually keep them for 200K miles or so. I always get a 5 speed. Honda makes a great vehicle, sometimes they do dumb stuff like $600 for fog lights which are dealer installed only but most of the time they do brilliant stuff like the new Civic and your truck! Good luck!
