Didn't really meet my goal of meeting you all. With the restaurant switch I realized was'nt going to have enough time to eat, chat and make it home to Galt by 9:15(as promised). With everyone revved up in the parking lot of Sudwerks, I figured I better scoot and try again next time.

My goal was to meet some GS riders that have time during the week to explore some off road with me. I still have my RT, but thought it would be a new challenge to try some dual sport. I am not completely "green" but would consider myself an off road tenderfoot. Since I don't want to wipe out and have no cell phone to call for help, I thought it prudent to tag along with some riders that know where we are going and what to do if something goes wrong. I prefer to go during the week, as I am self employed and very flexible. Weekends are pretty much family time unless I plan way ahead. ( the death valley trip sounds great.) So, I live in Galt, and would like to hook up with someone. Anyone have room in their group for a tag along?

Absolutely no need to apologize, we're a very loose group and don't dwell on such things. I didn't make it myself tonight, not a big deal.
I'm one of the GS riders, in fact thats all I have now but I work during the week. If you can ever make it out on the weekends we usually have breakfast with the River City Beemers on Sat mornings, then go to A&S, many times a ride follows.
We also have many weekend rides away like Manchester beach this weekend and Fort Bragg the next. Many of those we play on the dirt roads from time to time.

I might suggest you add a signature to your posts with at least your first name.

No apologizes neccesary. We'll eat again soon. None of us are great off road riders so you'll fit right in. Just call for a ride next time you feel like it and see who can show up. There are some great rides around here. I'm usually free on Mondays if you wanna ride...

Amarider, My son is getting married November 10th, so weekends are getting crazy. I can pretty much only play hooky from work during the week but will stay in touch.

Ted: Good to meet you again and we can chat at the next dinner and maybe put something together. Again, death valley is on my radar and will try to join some other group rides after the wedding.
