I believe the only manufacturers that make tires rated for the LT are Bridgestone, Metzeler and Avon.

True only for REAR tires.

The front tire load and speed rating are not unique for the LT. Most any 120/70-17 tire meets the 58 load rating. A "V" or higher (W, Y or Z) speed rating is easy to find. Even though the LT cannot ever achieve the V speed rating (149mph) without the help of altitude and gravity, the speed rating also implies a strength and stiffness to the tire carcass.

The Michelin PR3 is a radial. I've been running the PR2 with the Avon Storm. Works fine for me.
