350 km to a tank, start of red line, leaves four litres reserve. Or used 20.22 litres.

The oil in the forks is not for compression ,only for lube. The front shock does all the real work. Keep on riding..

Eric,

I had the same issue a couple of years ago after replacing a fork seal...did the rag thing for 2 weeks on the road. Replaced the seal again & all was well.
I think the seal was $15 approx at Argyle...I did try to find after market but there weren't any in Canada & they were 1.5mm thinner than OEM.

It is a beautiful ride, make sure as you cross HWY 20 you stop and look at Diablo Dam and the lake. You will never see another lake this color, the most beautiful green.
I hate the weather here most of the year, but the rides, oh boy, they are good when the sun shines!
