? We'll leave the question mark attached because I'm not really sure either. However, the hose clamps listed for the fuel filter hoses turn out to be the same for the quick couplers. (part #16 12 1 176 918) Fuel filter stubs are 8mm (5/16). Hmmmmm.

I got my information from another source www.k-bikes.com via www.i-bmw.com. I asked the question before I posted here.

Here is the question and the response:

Thanks for the link. Placed an order already. Broke one of the QDs last Saturday while separating them. No metal ones available at Napa, Pep Boys. So had to go to dealer to get replacements.

Response

That's correct, the K uses the 3/8 connectors. Just a guess that the 4 cylinder bikes spec'd a bit more fuel flow.
And if you don't feel like fooling with the Oetiker (sp?) clamps, the solid band fuel injection hose clamps are ~$1.40 from your dealer.

You can buy the metal ones here: http://www.omega.com/pdf/tubing/cou...ft-lcseries.asp

Just make sure you get the right ones. The R1150GS uses 5/16" ID hose while the K1200RS/GT is 3/8" ID. I guess the LT is also 3/8" ID?
Not sure where this info came from. I have a new LT disconnect, purchased it from the dealer to make a fuel pressure checking adapter. The LT fuel line is 5/16" I.D. At least on my '00 and '01 bikes.

The CPC quick disconnects, available in chrome plated brass are available in several flow sizes. The ones listed in the Omega site are 1/4" flow with 5/16 ID hose barb. The LT application, at least considering the size of the stock plastic QD's, calls for 7/16" flow with 5/16" hose barb. To be honest, I don't know if the lower flow size would be an issue.
