Dragonwing just posted that Avon was rebating $25 per tire. That might help if you're interested in radials. That's all I'm aware of for now.

There has been a lot of dialogue lately regarding tire load ratings on another string at this site. I currently have a Metzler 880 on the rear of my '07 K1200LT, put on by a reputable motorcycle tire guy who deals with Harleys & BMWs all day long. Unfortunately, the 880 does not have sufficient load rating, as the manual says it should take a 160/70 R17 79 V. The 79 V load rating translates to 963 lbs. at 149 mph. The 880 rating is 73 H (805 lbs. at 130 mph). I am a little confused, as the sidewall of my tire says it is a 73 H, while the Dennis Kirk website says the 880 is rated 79 V. I would assume that they don't make two versions of the same size tire with different load ratings but would recommend staying with a tire with a 79 V load rating...

I just purchased Bridgestone BT020 bias ply front & rears that are LT rated from dennickirk.com for $260 delivered. That was the best price I found and Dennis Kirk came recommended for good customer service. The website says it fits 2005-2009 but no issues mounting on my 03 LT.

These look like the BT-020's you mentioned.

They also show a 79V rating.

Metzeler actually does make two versions of the same sized tire.
The 73H rated tire is for Harleys.
