I am think of getting a Lowrance XOG GPS.

Need your in put, is this a good unit for the price, good or bad.

Cost is the reason I am asking or is there a better buy for the money.

GPS Store has it for 199.95 + s&h. Then there is the mounting and power cable.

Your thought on all of the above are needed.

Thanks.

Just got one for my Concours. It is a very nice little unit. Battery life is weak, so you will need power (I just bought a cheapo Blackberry car charger and soldered leads to it and wired it back to my fuse block). I have an iWay 500 on my LT. The interface is similar but the xog is not as bright. It has a standard 3.5mm plug for audio. I have it routed thru a Baehr solo - voice and mp3 volume is separately adjustable.

Cyclegadgets.com has the ram cradle and base for a reasonable rate. I have it on a stem RAM on the Concours and it seem very stable. It is so light that it doesn't really move around like the heavier hard drive based model on the LT.

I had a coupon for Crutchfield and paid about $200.
