Put about 500 miles on my 02LT today. Only had the bike for two weeks now and this was the first longer ride. I rode to St. Olaf, IA for a tenderloin with a group from STN. Spent some time on the beautiful roads in NE Iowa and SE MN. Including C9Y, which is a must ride if you are ever in the area. Great roads, nice weather, and the leaves are beginning to change.

It was a bit of a cool start with an indicated 36 F. Loved the heated grips and kicked the heated seat in a couple of times on the slab.

I couldn't have been happier with the bikes performance and weather protection. I think I picked a winner!

Tom,

Isn't St. Olaf the town that Rose (Betty White) was for ever reminiscing about on the Golden Girls? :)

Anyway, as a relatively new LT owner myself I'm not surprised by your reaction. They're wonderful bikes. I find myself riding over my lunch break at work, taking the long way home, and generally looking for excuses to ride like I used to do years ago when i first started riding. Enjoy!

2. Glad to see see you have joined in on the right form - you won't find better

3. Glad to see you riding - great way to socialize and be by yourself also

4. It is a small world as well - my wife is from all places Reinbeck, IA
Her sister still lives there and we came by on the our LT a month ago traveling to the

I have been riding LT's for 10 years and have not found anything that I like better!
I have considered the new GTL, Goldwing, and even the Ultra but at the end of the day I could not pull the trigger and move away from the LT.The bike offers everything that I need in a touring bike and man it handles sooo well in the mountains with plenty of power, good clearance, great wind protection and exceptional fuel mileage.
The more you ride it the more you will love it!!!

Wow, that is a small world. Shoot me a pm and let me know who your SIL is. I'm superintendent/el. principal, so have met quite a number of folks. Let me know if you're ever back in the area and we can try to hook up for a ride.

I know winter's coming, but today is BEAUTIFUL! 75 degrees, sunny, nice breeze, only problem is that today's been mostly for work around the house.
