Looking for a used NAVIII for sale. I recently purchased a great 05 LT with a NAV II and want to do a simple upgrade to a NAVIII. I understand these use the same mount and connector but the III is still able to get maps and software updates unlike my II. So anyone with a III for sale let me know. thanks!

Cannot help you with a NAV III, but wanted to congratulate you on your recent 05 purchase and welcome you to the neighborhood. You will find that you have many friends and neighbors here, separated only by geography.

I have one that I am willing to sell since I just upgraded to a Zumo 660. It does not have the mount to the bike (I used that for the Zumo) but has the BMW dock, the Nav III itself and the cables to plug into the BMW harness (which includes the speed sensor). The Nav III is also Bluetooth capable and it all works great (well it did when I took it off the bike in winter). Ido not have manuals. I'm not at home right now by PM me to remind me and I'll send you some pics and a price.

Thanks for the welcome! Really looking forward to riding the bike. Planning a quick 3 day ride/camping trip down to NC on the Blue Ridge Parkway next week! Can't wait to ride!

I don't know of one for sale, but the Garmin folks have been great to me for 6 years now.

Do register with them. www.garmin.com
Go get the current maps - think about the annual update method. It works for me, but you do need a good internet connection.

Get the most current Firmware - 4.4.0 and latest Bluetooth - 3.40. They make the display work right and allow your phone to download its address book, etc.

Support does not always have the answer you need, but they do get back to you the next business day, about 90% of the time.
