Well I thought it was the steering damper, but I've confirmed that it is the left fork seal that is leaking. I will get it fixed, but is this serious on a telelever bike? I would like to ride the bike this weekend if I can.

Not serious as all - and easy to fix by yourself.

The fluid in there is just a lubricant, it does not really have any damping properties. You'll need a new seal and wiper to do it right and a couple of hours. You can do while it is sitting on the center stand with common tools and some metric allen wrenches. Do both while you're at it. Make sure you use a medium strength threadlock on the brake caliper mounting bolts.

This is one not worth paying a dealer to repair...;)
