and one person bid and won it he comes down and hit me with a barrage of stupid questions, oh and he had toured all over europe, also bmw shop phoned him up out of the blue and offered him a large amount for his bike as they do !!!
he clumsily lifted it onto the centre stand started it up and proceeded to rev the hell out of it i told him to stop until it had warmed up he told me it was ok to do this
what a jerk he was, anyway he set off comes back 20 mins later and he would have bought it but u here that noise as he rev it
your cam chain is knackered and thats a £500 (sterling) job i couldnt hear out
and cos i missed the bmw 25 k service that would be another £500 for the big one
as it has now done 30k i got sick of this dick heads bull i can tell u
is it me ? do any of u guys know about the service price as he said it
or about the cam chain saga sure would like some feedback
as he has well and truly p---------d me off

ok big services are expensive here in Oz they can be up to 1600.00 that's why I do all my own servicing since the warranty expired, Cam chain issue none that I know of, cam guides are supposed to be changed at 80k?? but it is preventitive I havent changed mine now done 100k km if I give mine a sudden rev it sounds like little popping sounds in the exhaust, It has been there since new could be something like that
By commiting to buy on ebay he has entered into an agreement and must pay you, he cant just decide not to. sounds like a real tosser, either get the money or tell him to rack off. I am sure you will find someone else that will be very happy with your beemer

They are out there unfortunately. I have found the best thing is to put a simple disclaimer in the description "USED, AS IS WHERE IS, NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED". and then follow on with the ebay contract provisions. Usually that will free you up on the transaction. The buyer has the ability to ask questions via ebay before he bids, such as service history, specific condition issues, etc.

As Axle said, get the guy's money or tell him to take a hike.

Or just turn it over to ebay.

Sorry, I cannot address your question on cost of service, I do all my own as well. Let us know how you do in the final transaction, interesting.

When someone purchases an item on eBay they commit to purchase according to the details in the listing.

did you offer a trial period? any warranty?

What is the listing #?

You let the guy ride it before payment? I would take the person for a shakedown ride in order to prove everything is in order but no free rides without cash in hand!

I say your better off without the jerk...I think he was looking for an excuse to either pay a lower price or to get out of the deal. :rulez:
