Wonderful opportunity...for myself and 49 other "citizens". Ate 2 hours for 2/3 of the folks and another 45 minutes while those of us who were "early" got a more detailed information about being on the jury to experience of the "CRIMINAL TRIAL" for speeding.

I didn't "make the cut"... awwwww....

The officer was a young guy.. probably all of 25, a Motorcop... very nice kid...one of TWO in our city riding Honda..

After being "excused", didn't get chance to speak with him.. heck, I didn't even ask for my windfall $6 for showing up...

I always kinda liked Jury duty. It took me out of my rut, my company paid me if I was called and I learned something.

So, in Texas you can have your speeding ticket heard in front of a jury???

Sat on a jury trial about 15 years ago. Murder trial. Was very interesting. Defendant was guilty, copped a plea before the end of the trial. Prosecutor was pretty sharp, defender was a fool. Know for sure if I ever need a liar, I mean lawyer, it wouldn't be him, I could do a way better job than he did.
