Not so in the Maritimes....35 cm of snow last Saturday, another 15 on Tuesday. Minus 12 C today with wind chills to -20. I think it will be awhile before I will be taking the cover off the RT.
I need a calculator to figure out what you said. :rotf:

I forgot you guys south of the border are one of the last hold-outs to convert things to metric, or vice versa. 35 cm = 14 inches, 15 cm = 6 inches (divide metric by 2.5). Quite honestly since I am from the old-school, I still think in Imperial measurements and have to convert, with snow I am getting used to the conversion, stil have trouble with temperatures and liquid measurements. I know how cold it is by steping outside. The USA were smart not to convet, wish we never had, we still have duplicate measurements in the grocery store...very confusing and expensive since you guys are our biggers trading partner, everything brought into the country has to have more info on the labels. Maybe North America should revolt against the metric invasion.

70 degrees yesterday (tying the record for that date), and 48 today. I rode to work today for the first time in 7 weeks.

Yes you guys have had a great winter. I have a sister north of Dallas.

But, we can ride up here during the summer without melting.

Fired up the snow blower for the first time this year. The end might be in sight but I'm having a little trouble seeing it.

RT is still hibernating under its little blanket and is not showing signs of waking up any time soon.

Back to the latest issue of RoadRunner.

Big woop! now it is 65F and sunny and 35 to 40 mph winds. I would rather have the calm 35F. I can at least prepare for the cold, nothing prepares you for a 40 mph cross gust of wind. Nothing is worse than looking out the window at a beautiful blue cloudless sky knowing it is to dangerous to go riding and it would be no fun to try.

I just got done cleaning up another 20 cm, 8 inches of "intermitent flurries" , at least that is what the weather forecaster called it. If that accumulation is "flurries", I sure hope they don't call for a 'nor-easter'. I have been using the bike to lean the snow shovels on.
