I noticed in the September issue of Motorcyclist Magazine that the Triumph Tiger 800 XC was voted the Best Adventure Bike of the year!! Now who might be riding one of those puppies?? Perhaps flash Fisher!

Aye! She is sitting in the garage with the tank off at the moment though so I can get a little more Farkelizing done to her. I certainly can't argue with such a fine publication as Motorcyclist magazine though!

Just installing the factory heated grips which had been on back order since my purchase of the Bike. Also tidying up some wiring that I am running beneath the tank for those other essential items:
- TPM System
- Radar Detector
- GPS
- Voltmeter
- etc

When John and I rode the Tiger and it's BMW counterpart we both agreed that the Tiger felt like a much better fit. Mostly it was subjective but the feel and sound of the Tiger won out over the BMW. The one thing I liked better of the BMW was the height felt better. Tiger was a bit short legged for me. I'm sure that could be corrected but initially the height was better for me on the BMW.

Yep Ernie, seen them posted on this site by members such as Grif. However, I decided to go with something with some additional functions, like outside air temp & ice warning! This model actually:

I purchased it from a vendor at the Chief Joseph Rally at a fair price, but was then advised by several folks there that it is a nice unit, but not really waterproof! So I decided to see what I could do about waterproofing it for the Tiger! Can you say Otter Box? Time will tell!

And the Bike now has both the Triumph Aux Lights as well as Heated Grips. See the brightly lit buttons when they are on!

So, along with the Zumo 660 and the Radar Detector, we are almost ready to hit the highway! Took her for a short ride to Scappoose today for work job and came home via Rocky Point & Skyline Road. Great short curvy ride!

(PS: Sorry for the blurry pics. Snapped with my IPhone before my first after work beer!)

Looks like a great one Steve, but unfortunately neither my Triumph or BMW will be able to attend since I am glued to the duty desk all week! Hope you get to enjoy it though.
