...In the real world. Regardless of the water resistant/vs/waterproof lable.

Decisioning (not a word but should be) between the BMW goretex boots and the SIDI Te Por Boots. I have experience with Gortex boots, and my feet do not get wet, period. I could stand in a foot of water with these. I am in the market for new boots and the SID's fit is awesome for my foot.

Most any good boot can keep you dry for a couple hours in the rain. But does anyone have any all day in heavy rain experience with the SIDI Te Por material that can comment on its relative waterproofness to Gore. It is a lot of money to cough up, and after an 8 hour day of getting pounded by the rain I really don't want to reach down, feel my socks and say "yea my feet are pretty dry".

Thanks for your insights.

In a word, "yes."

I've worn SIDI tepor boots (two different models) made with tepor and despite riding through thunderstorms all day with both pairs of boots my feet stayed dry. I currently use the SIDI "Way" boots and love them.
