Hello all,

I just returned from a great trip to Europe on my '99 LT. The old girl never missed a beat, two up and with all the gear.. completely faultless, what a machine. My companion on a KTM 990 adventure complemented on that he never knew such a big bike could go so fast and handle so well... sparks flying on some of the windy roads down in the Belgian Ardennes!

Checking the bike over on the final leg, seems oil around the FD seal.. not great news I'm thinking, I'm guessing that is the first signs of a fail? She had recently had a major serviced prior to the trip, so now only 1750 miles since that.

Any thoughts very welcome, thanks in advance..

Rob

Sounds like it. Best to drain the oil and look for metal. If you find any do not ride any further or more damage can happen. Right now it shoul be an easy rebuild.

Well without getting even that far with it on the main stand spinning the wheel tells me all isn't right. It's now booked in with my resident expert here North of London town.

At least it'll be back ready for my next trip... hurray! :D
