I find I have to be in some meetings Tuesday thru Thursday (may 17-19). The meetings are in Compton near Wilmington and Artesia. Since I have been desperately short on saddle time for the last two years, I am riding the GS.

Two questions:
  1. I was planning on staying near the facility at a Rodeway Inn at Artesia and Central. Since it has been years since I have been to that part of LA, would I be smarter to stay outside of Compton. If so, where? I don't mind riding a little each day - my meetings are 9-5.
  2. Anyone want to get together for dinner Mon, Tue or Wed?

I probably wouldn't stay in Compton if I had a choice. It's not so much a danger factor, I periodically work in the area without issue, but off time activities like eating and entertainment would be less enjoyable. There are nearby cities like Cerritos or some parts of Long Beach that have nice hotels, restaurants, and places to hang out that would be much more pleasant. I might be available to meet up while you are here, feel free to contact me,
Michael

hey Randy coming to the coast very cool! As mike said I wouldn't pick Compton to stay in, Cerritoes isn't to bad with a lot more stuff around. Shouldn't be to bad on a bike to get from Cerritoes to Compton either for your meetings.

Dinner sounds great. Monday is out for me, but Tuesday or Wednesday works.

I'm open as to time and location.

I would stay in the South Bay area your only ten mins riding time but worlds different in area. The area would include Torrance, Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach. Lots of places to stay and eat.
