He almost got taken out by the very first car going his way. I did finally pull a wheelie on the GS last week. Wasn't even trying but had shot from a dead stop into a gap in the traffic on a 130 degree intersection and before I was fully upright I hit second a bit hard I guess and she rared up a for a few seconds. I got her back down uneventfull but I was feeling the adrenalin rush. Funny nobody rode my tail after that?!?

I would not be surprised if he has recently died!
Kazmir is alive and well. He rides like this everyday to work. I used to ride like that somewhat in the early 70s on my Kawasaki. I might have to look for a new job this fall & thought I would tune up my rush hour traffic skills. I can't wait until class starts. :yeah:

Nuttun like ridin a wheelie John. First ya gota master shifting while the wheel is in the air so you can get the speed. Then ya gota master the balance with the throttle. That's as far as I ever got. I never did learn how to turn corners like my buddies did. :(

I think I saw Kazmir's cousin in Jacksonville last Sat. I had an opportunity to take a Demo ride on a K1600GTL at our newly opened dealer in Jacksonville. Part of the route was a short sprint on I295 where our little group of about 8 bikes was cruising along at about 65 mph. Suddenly I saw a bike approaching from behind us fairly quickly. He passed us going 100+ mph on his sport bike wearing his safety "T" shirt, shorts and sneakers! I watched him disappear up ahead bobbing and weaving around the city traffic. I guess he saw our little group and decided he would impress us! He wasn't in the news that evening so I guess he survived.
As for the 1600 all I can say is WOW! a very impressive machine, comfortable, agile and FAST! Unfortunately at $26K I'll have to wait a few years and then, if I'm still able to manage a few hours a day in an upright position, maybe shop for a used one!:(

I'm havin second thoughts on Kazmir. After all he did side swipe at least three vehicles from what I could hear on the video in only just over six minutes. :stupid: If I'm going to piss people off with my riding style that's one thing but leaving your mark on someone's vehicle is going to far. :wack:
