My bikes are ready to go they have all had farkles and the little fixits done and they are just sitting in my garage. I suppose I am not alone

Fortunately on another site someone finally identified my condition.

I am suffering from

Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

Its a yearly issue when will modern science heal my affliction?

If any bike can cure me its the LT it has the best protection going but there is just some weather that gear and bike just can't make pleasant.

They say Global warming is a bad thing?

Had to ride

I could not take it on Wednesday so I took the afternoon off and the wife and I went for a nice ride only about 180 miles but a good day. I told my boss " DO TO ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS THAT HAD TO BE ADDRESSED, I WOULD HAVE TO BE OUT FOR THE AFTERNOON ". Did I mention to say that it was 80 degrees in Greensboro on Wednesday.

Just wait, global warming will fix your problem!

Or if you want an earlier solution move south, on the other hand we don't need any more people! :D

I too have PMS. My treatment consists of fluffing and buffing the old girl to get her ready for the spring.

Feeling guilty...

You guys make me feel guilty...ok not really, but my son wanted to hit the snow boarding slopes today so I let him take the Tahoe, so I "had" to ride the LT today. 44 degrees at the start, rode 60 +/- miles ending at 60 degrees this afternoon. :yeah:

Clear skies beautiful weather. :sun: Got a lot of attention including a guy who sold his 03LT and is going to buy another one soon. ( gave him this website)

So..not bragging ...well ok I am...but I'll ride a few extra miles for you guys with the white stuff on the ground and you can live and ride vicariously through those of us who chose livable weather. :D

I was out in Arizona, Phoenix area for work in October. I took a drive to Sedona and the Grand Canon. I told my wife I need to get out here and ride!
I did notice that in the Phoenix area most riders wearing helmet. I was purchasing a shirt at the local HD dealer, for my father in law, he has not seen the light yet. I asked if there was a helmet law and was told that the drivers in the area were pretty bad and even harley riders were willing to wear a helmet. :D

According to good ole Al Gore in a few years you won't have to worry about the cold weather, ice and snow.

Phoenix uggh...

Yea.. in Phoenix you need to wear a helmet and athletic supporter to survive on a bike. No helmet law (yet). We doe have a liberal she-man Governor who, with her liberal mental health issues , would probably push for one if it was brought to her attention.

"Southern Arizona" is better for riding as Snow Bird season opens in early December and you can shoot from the road. No limit !

Those two words, park and motorcycle, does not apply in Florida. :)

There is an up side to cold and snow besides snowmobiles and skiing. It's a great time to attack the honey-do list, you know .... honey do this and honey do that....:( That way when spring does arrive you don't hear " OH NO YOU DON"T, you still have to paint the bedroom, redo the kitchen, lay that new flooring etc. You can just swing a leg over the bike and go  Yeah Right....

Oh well March isn't that far away.... OK I've got PMS too

I curred mine.......

I took a ride :D

'Bout 50 miles. Balmy 28 here in Pensatucky, in between Ice/Sleet/Rain/Snow storms. Mostly rain since Thanksgiving, but last 2 weeks sleet/snow/rain. More coming tonight but mostly rain in the end with a dusting of snow, North 6-8 inches.

Anyway I have about a 20 mile run out through a Vally, Penn National Race Course, out to Fort Hunter. I know it like the back of my hand, broke three bikes in running through it so knew it had some shade and ice potential.

Was pretty clear, a little run off, not as much cinder/salt as I expected. Still need to stay on top of you game in this stuff so it is a bit more concentration then on 90 degree day, but man grin ear to ear the whole way :bmw: .
