First off, you guys are doing a great job and I know you will be tweaking the site for quite some time as new uses and ideas emerge. I think the articles section is great and look forward to seeing it grow from the combined wisdom of the masters in this group. I did want to mention an experience I just had when trying to comment on the speedometer mod article.

I wanted to include a picture and link to one of Grif's posts in the old forum showing the jumper locations on a different board revision (since I will be doing this as part of winter farklization and wanted to find it easily), but the Comments section seems to only allow pure text without working hyperlinks. Is this a problem or a feature? Or, am I just quite up to figuring out how to make it work.

Thanks.

Can you post a reply to this message with exactly you were trying to put in the comments (same stuff, i.e., formatting, pictures, links, etc.)?

Okay, I found the problem.

vBulletin does not like URLs in IMG tags unless it is a recognized file type (i.e., JPG, GIF, BMP, etc.). The link to the attachment in the old system was something that was not recognized. So I uploaded the picture into the technical gallery in the new system and used it's URL as the link in the comment.

I hope that explains it. I know it's a pain, but it's a limitation of the new software.

This is a picture of a different board revision that grif posted [url=http://www.bmwlt.net/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php?Cat=&Board=K1200LT&Number=101036]HERE[/url].

Same jumpers, different location.
