I am sure someone has done this successfully out there . I have a new saddle bag lid to replace my scratched lid and I need to remove the chrome strip and reflector and put them on the new lid without damaging them. Any ideas ? Thanks for any responses.

heat the inside with a heat gun/hair dryer, and get some dental floss in between the chrome strip and panel and gently work it off.

Thans Steve for the plug.

The chrome strip can be removed by slipping a 7" zip tie or a strong piece of thread (dental floss material or stronger) between the chrome and the saddlebag. It works best if you heat the area slowly and carefully.
The side case trim you sell is GREAT also!
