Just jumping over to this forum from the K1200LT group. Paid my deposit yesterday on a new K1600GTL which will arrive in a couple of weeks. Will be saying goodbye to the '09 LT. It was a fine bike but I really missed the performance I had previously with the '07 K1200GT. Looking forward to the new bike with much enthusiasm.

Welcome. This group is in a growth period relative to the LT group. But, a bunch of good folks here as in the LT forum. I think you'll find the GTL pretty satisfying.

Congrats on the new ride. Another LT convert. You'll find the GTL is an amazing machine does most things better then LT or your previous GT and a few not as well. I can honestly say I have no regrets in getting a GTL and I really loved my previous LT.

Welcome. I had a 2002 LT and have not looked back once since I traded to a GTL. Lower center of gravity, excessive amount of power and pure comfort. This fall I will be exchanging the stock seat for a Russell Long Tour seat and have given some thought to getting a new horn. The stock one is a bit wimpy in my opinion. Since buying the GTL I have added Illium engine guards and foot pegs, a must if you want to do some long rides. A sweet bike that will turn heads as you ride by. Enjoy......
