I did my first business with Herwaldt BMW yesterday. I've been there before but this was my time doing any business bigger than a t-shirt. I took my R1200RT in for the 6K service and brake fluid flush. The service writer, Josh, was friendly and knowledgeable. The tech (Josh) was also friendly and seemed very knowledgeable about my bike. He pointed out some errors with the bodywork screws and the wrong grommet in one location (sold by another BMW shop, no names cough.. Sacramento... cough). The work was done quickly and seems to have been done well, no leaks, no other signs of poor work. The bike was clean, nothing spilled on the bike and the front brake didn't feel like squeezing a marshmallow after the fluid change, unlike a service on my K1200LT another BMW shop (initials SJ BMW). When the lady (not named josh) took my money the bill was well below what I was quoted even with a grommet and few screws added.

Generally a positive experience, all I can complain about is the 140 mile pre dawn start ride before the service, hardly the shop's fault. Herwaldt is only an hour from the town where I was born. Sorry, I escaped that hell hole and I ain't going back without a gun to my head.
