There is a lot of back pressure on the K1600.

I replaced the stock windshield (actually my GLT came with a GT windshield) with one from Cal-Sci and got rid of 95% of the back pressure.

California Science Windshield http://www.calsci.com/

This might be the problem.

Might also just be tension from the new ride and all of the new controls.
It also may be the Hardley won't run fast enough to cause head pressure.
I agree with Dano, the stock shield puts a noticeable amount of forward pressure on your helmet, and the CalSci solved that issue for me entirely.

If your previous ride was a cruiser of any type, you might also be used to looking "through" the windscreen, the K1600's seem to work best looking "over" the windscreen, raising it high enough to look through tends to really raise the pressure pushing your helmet forward.

If that's the case, try running it lower, about chin to nose height. I hope that helps, neck pain is NO fun.
Different setting position. Using different muscles then from riding the HD

OR

Hell of a LOT MORE POWER so you hang on harder.
thanks everyone ill check out new windshield options, and i did ride through that thunderstorm wed morning for 100miles or so, might be tension, or i need to buy a priuis :histerica
I vote tension.I have that kind of reaction on every new bike I've ever had. There's just that little lack of familiarity that causes a little tension...and that will get to you eventually.

I'd get a few more miles on the bike, then re-assess.
