Is there a way to get a hold of someone at CB who understands what the differences are between the 6 models of windshields they offer for the LT?

I called today and wound up with someone who's best efforts to help me was reading the information on their web site.

When I asked if there was anyone else there who might be more familiar with the LT options, I was just told that people had either left or were talking with other customers--to just read the info on rheir web site?

Presently I use a 17 inch, Euro cut BMW windshield. When the shield is all the way down this short one allows me to see what the road is like fairly close to my front tire. I live on an unmaintained, county, dirt road. Having a "close-up view" makes life a lot more stable. Plus, when I ride around town I leave her all the way down, typically with my helmet's face shield either all the way up, or removed.

It's just tall enough, when all the way extended, to protect me from buffeting, quiets the wind noise way down, seems to bounce sound from the front speakers at me, and does a good job of throwing a lot of the rain over me. During HEAVY rain, I can hunker down abit and look through the screen.

I'd like a new screen to reduce the negative air pressure bubble that seems to be right behind my back, and on my neck.

Riding around here the negative pressure doesn't do much except suck up dust from the road. But, when I'm out of state, and it rains, the draft hits the back of my two piece roadcrafter. And, when it's cold 30-40F I have two zip up my suite making her a one piece. Add rain into the cold.....well y'all go through that.

I just purchased a new CB not long ago. It did not fit right. After a couple of calls with no satisfaction I insisted talking to a manager. I'm sorry I didn't remember his name because he was great, very knowledgeable. we talked at length about the bike, where I live, my height. They ended up sending me a completely different wind screen than what I originally ordered for free!

I guess just insist on talking to management.

am interested in what you learn. I currently have a sport flow model on my LT (at least I think that is which one I have) and I would say that it is mostly worthless. When in the down position it keeps a fair bit of the wind off and you can see over it very nicely but that is about where the value stops.

It seems to create a lot of wind turbulence right around my helmet and makes a deafening roar (more noise that I get on my R1200C which has no wind protection at all). The only way I can get relief is to put it all the way up and that puts the top of the windscreen right at the top of my FOV and creates that massive back pressure that you mentioned.

I really want a new windscreen but cannot figure out what to get. I am also wondering if the V-Stream is a good option, if anyone can comment I would appreciate those opinions also.

I have both bmw shields - the euro (low) and the us (high) shield and also the v-stream. I have not put the us shield on since I got the v-stream. I run the euro shield in the summer for the air but can't wait to be back behind the v-stream for the quiet.
