I need the male connection to plug a heated seat into the LT's wiring harness. Unfortunately, someone cut the connection off of a heated seat I purchased.

Does anyone know where I can locate this plug. The part #s on the plug are:

AMP2-828816-1 and BMW1378109

Since I don't want to alter the bike's wiring harness, any help would be greatly appreciated!!

That connector is a proprietary BMW part - sick, huh? You can get another one by (you guessed it) buying a new OEM seat! ;)

Best bet is to simply buy some other AMP/Molex or other brand male/female connectors and switch 'em out, or just use some telephone wire butt connectors (available at Radio Shack) and heat shrink tubing for a more permanent connection.

someone may chime in with that item available. wait and see before overhaulling the whole seat connection.

someone had an arm I broke from the motorized windshield assembly and saved me over $500 from buying the whole unit brand new.

Thanks for those responses!

Question: Does Corbin provide the OEM style connector?
Yes! The Corbin I traded off had the stock BMW connector. So since they are able to get them I would assume there must be a source for them. Maybe call Corbin and ask them where they get them.

Is the AMP2 an amphenol number? Do you have any GOOD automotive electrical supply houses in your area. I would be willing to bet this is a standard connector, you just need to find a shop that recognizes it.

Option two: Beemerboneyard or some other used parts house.

Sorry to jump onto your question, but I am trying to find out how to remove the drivers seat off of my 2003 K1200LT so that I can send it off to Russel to be customized. Removing the seat is not the problem. Getting to the connector for the heated seat wiring is. I have found three screws at the top lip of the body work on the left side, but after removing these still no luck in budging the bodywork. Anybody have the knowledge and time to walk me through this. Thanks, Jerry

Dick, Thanks for the Tupperware Party info. I see you live in Boerne. Great place, used to explore some caves out around Camp Alzafar. Live North of Dallas, but have a house on LBJ. Hope to get my 03 LT down their some time.
