Yep, used the 1" "Universal" Kury's. Had to build up the left grip with friction tape and both fit fine. And I fit Kury Throttle Bosses to the ends of them. Grip heaters work just fine through these fat boys. I eventually installed a set screw in each grip for extra confidence. Me likes 'em.

Maybe a stupid question, but are the bars empty and hollow at the end? I have used a helmet lock that fits into the end of the bars on my other bikes, and would like to do so on the LT also. I just don't want to cut a hole into the grip on the end and find out there are wires, cables or whatever inside.

I don't know about your bike, but mine has little holes in the grips itself you could probably look down with a flashlight and see yourself. However I do not believe they hid any wires in the bars themselves. I am relatively sure they run next to the bars under the plastic.

When I did my new throttle cables 2 years ago and slid the throttle grip off I did have cables running inside the handle bar's, so they are hollow.
The cables were for the heated grips.

Here is a pic

Hmm good to know, I always wondered how the heated grips were hooked up.
