I would like to replace the grips on my 2010 R1200RT with a Pro Grip #714. I did this on my 2002 R1150R. I'm told, however, that some of the later model R bikes have the heating element installed as a part of the rubber grip itself, as opposed to being underneath the grips, as on my 1150R. If the heating element is underneath the grips, it is possible to carefully cut the rubber grips off and slide new grips over the heating elements. If anyone has replaced the grips on a late model R or RT and can confirm whether heating element is a part of the grip itself, or instead is located underneath the grips, please let me know. Thanks
