Thursday I took a ride over to Sherwood, Or, from here in Moses Lake, about 340 miles via I90, I82 to Yakima, Wa97 to Goldendale, then I84 to Portland, then south to Sherwodd. Then back to Moses lake friday, via the Tri-cities.Was gonna trade the bike for a Chevelle body that was supposedly ready for a paint job..NOT....anyway, the bike ran great, got 55 mpg on one tank, 47, 48 on the others..I do have to say this thing sure bounces around in the wind, but on the good side that was the 55 mpg tank.. If I'm gonna keep it, I need to get another seat and some highway pegs I can actually use. Those Std J-pegs suck..

Rick, next time you are on I84 eastbound out of Portland take the Corbett exit just after Troutdale. Very twisty, beautiful views of the Columbia River gorge and easy access to all the waterfalls.

If you can find someone with Mick-O-Pegs, see if you can try them out. I bought mine after reading many favorable reports here.

There is also a version of the mount kit that installs WITH your J-Pegs.

You may also consider listing your J-Pegs for sale and using the proceeds to defray the cost of the MOPs. JUst some ideas to get you started. Using the search feature to find info on MOPs may yield some helpful results.

thanks Loren, I'll see if I can remember that. Now if I can remember where I parked the bike.

Tony,
I have listed the J-pegs for trade for XL pegs but no luck so far, Have been considering making something like some stirrups to bolt to the jpegs to extend and lower the foot...

If you do that, make sure you have some solution for replacing the Tip-over bars...they go with the J-pegs...and lord knows, my used bike didn't come with the stock bars in the topcase when I bought it!
