Started last night at about 7:00 pm after big brown came thru.
Pouring the rain, so nothing else to do but to change out the seat.
I can not believe that one has to remove all of that tupperwear just to snip a couple of tie downs just to remove the seat, when the plug in is just under the seat any way. All in all, it went prety good, no problems for the first time taking the skin off. I tell you what, those Germans are real engineers, the way that they figured out for all of that stuff to fit together, just intrigues me.
Decided to go with the Corbin after talking with a few on this site, and I would like to say thanks for all of the info.
Took about 3 hours to do the whole job and did love every minute of it.
I am very satiffied with the quality of the workmanship of the seat. After the rain finally stopped here today, got out and rode for about 2 hours on the new seat. I can already tell that it will be just fine, especially after breakin time. The standard Corbin seat is wider and you have to come up off of the back rest to get your feet on the ground when you stop. Felt a little funny at first, but after two hours, I really was not paying that much attention to it.
I'm 6-2", so if your shorter than I, and your contemplating on getting the Corbin, you may want to pruchase the low Corbin, I got the standard.
So now I have a full set of 06 heated seats for sale if anyone wants them, and they are in excellant condition. Would not know where to start with a price.
