While doing a clutch replacement on my 2005 LT I noticed that the front universal joint was spitting needle bearings. My dealer tells me there is no replacement for just the u-joint they only sell the whole driveshaft assembly for $700!

Has anyone tried to find a u-joint that would fit and done a replacement? Not sure what it will take to get the bad joint out.

Second thought is to look for a used driveshaft, anyone have one they want to part with?

Sorry don't have one, but ebay has eight of them. All less than $100. HTH
