I have decided to try an Avon AV56 Storm 2 Ultra out in the rear but would like some recommendations regarding the front. What is the best front radial tire you have used on your bike? I am leaning toward the new Road Pilot 3 but am not totally sold on the idea yet. I have heard that the Storm 2's wear funny so there has got to be a better option with high grip and mileage.
I am a fairly aggressive rider and ride 2 up about 50% of the time. If I rated myself on the scale of 1-10 with 1 being only super slab straight up and 10 being wear holes in the lower panels and worn out center and side stands I would put myself currently at a 7.5 running the stock Metzler 880's. I really don't like the tar snakes or doing unintentional burn outs in the rain so am hot on finding a good setup that works for me.

Yes, in fact most 120/70-17 front tires on the market do carry the 58V (or higher) load/speed rating required for the LT... Too bad about that wacked out rear tire size/spec; certainly limits those options...
That is why I brought it up. There are soooo many choices for the front!! Probably the only thing I like about the 880 is that it doesnt follow grooves in the road but there has got to be others that dont.
