A while back, I purchased EBC FA294HH brake pads for the front wheel of my 2001 LT. Brembo brake calipers. When replacing the brake pads on my 99LT, I found that the EBCs would not fit, and I put in a set of used brake pads that I had.

Now I am wondering whether the EBC pads will be compatable with the 01LT, since they were not with the 99LT. I know, I could take out the existing pads from the 01LT to check, but I am trying to avoid that for now.

Appreciate your input.

Dan,

If you have Brembo Brake calipers on both your 99 and 2001 then you need the FA407HH vs. the FA294HH. The FA294HH only fit the BMW marked calipers of the Integral brake systems.

Your 2001 must have a build date of 11/2000 or earlier if you have "Brembo" on the front caliper.

John,

Thanks for the information. Yes, my 2001 LT has a build date of October 2000, so I guess I will need the FA 407 brake pads. Up to now, I didn't know there was a difference.

I am hoping to see you at the Spring Training Camp at the Iron Horse next month. Still 50/50 if I can get there. Coming back from a family affair in California on the 17th so will have to see if the Significant Other wants me out of the house for a few days.

Glenn,

Yes you can book a camping spot but reservations are not essential but it does help them plan food. 19-22 April. Check out the roster over in the Rides, Rallies and Get-togethers section.
