I thought i read somewhere on here that there is procedure to replace the battery in the FOB, but I am unable to locate that thread. is there a procedure or can i just switch the battery out? Thanks

After the battery has been changed, the LED ​

remains permanently on – the remote control unit now has to be synchronised • You do this by holding the remote control unit within the range of the receiver and pressing the ribbed button twice in succession – LED starts flashing and goes out a few seconds later – The remote control unit is now ready for use
