I'm planning to leave Tampa early Saturday morning and would like to be in Duluth by Monday evening. I'll need to average around 500 miles a day. I might even leave Friday evening to have a little more time and not need to rush....

Most likely I'll head up 75 to Atlanta, then 24 to Chattanooga, 57, 39 and 90 , 94....on into Duluth. Seems like a pretty straightforward trip, but maybe you have suggestions on places to avoid or places to plan stops at?

I'll probably back to FL via WV and have several stops planned there, Greensboro NC and SC.

I'm open to suggestions..

Hi Dan
I am leaving Fl on the 9th going up the eastern seaboard, on to NY,down to Pa, following the Ohio River to Cincinnati, up to Defiance, Oh to have lunch with longtime BMLT member John Diehl. Then off to Holland, Mi looking forward to meeting Steve and his friends. I am making a trip out of it.

Hi Don, Looks like the great circle route... You'll be missing out on a few upcoming tropical storms and hurricanes... Lucky you.

There appears to be people coming from all directions and I'll be looking out for you and the others on my way. Travel safely and I'll see you in Duluth.

Sounds like a very nice trip, Don. If you're within striking distance of SE Ohio on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday let me know - I could meet up with you for a meal or just to say hi. If your timing doesn't allow that, then maybe next time.

Good luck on your trip.

I was sure hoping that your schedule was going to allow us to do some W.Va riding prior to CCR but we'll have to wait for another time.
Ride safe and looking forward to seeing you in Duluth.

Nice hearing from you.
I plan on leaving Western Pa on Wednesday 8/22 taking Rt 22 over to Cambridge and then down 77 towards W Va and picking up the Ohio River west to Cincinnati. A couple of options: 1) I can meet you in Rushville for either lunch or dinner on 8/22. 2) Put some miles on that new LT and meet John and I in Defiance for an extended lunch.
Would very much like to visit with you if we can make it happen.

Hi Guys,

Any of you from Florida heard from Jim Monte? I've tried to contact him via e-mail, but I don't get a response. He broke his neck shortly after last year's CCR (not from riding--he was working on his his AC unit) but was doing okay when I saw him last Fall in Miami. I'm hoping he's still okay. Supposedly he's able to ride now and was planning on coming to the CCR this year.

I traded emails with Jim several times after his accident and he was registered for Duluth and looking forward to making it up.
