I purchased a Blue 08 LT from Denver area over the weekend and rode her home to Arizona. I really like my old seat from pre-05 LTs. I know this question came up here before but I could not find it when I searched. I know with some tool I need to machine away something to fit the old seat. But I do not actually remmember what I need to remove. The new bike is still in factory warranty so I do not want to take a chance. I would appreciate if anybody tell me what to machine away to fit pre-05 seat to 08 LT. Thanks in advance... (By the way I am selling my 2003 LT if anybody is interested in, check out the classified section)

Should fit straight on. I put a Corbin from an early model on my '08 no problem.

It fits at high position with a gap between fairing and the seat. I am trying fit at low position.
