Its completely random, but whenever I turn my right or left turn signals on they will blink slow for a few blinks and then fast for a few blinks and then slow, well I think you get the idea of how this is going. Its random on whether it will be fast or slow to start as well. My battery is plenty strong so the weak battery theory is out the window. I remember it doing this last year but it only did it a couple of times, it seems now that it is doing it all the time.

I don't know if it's the same on the LT, but, my experience with that on cars is when there is a bulb burned out or corroded contact so it works sometimes and not others.

Bingo. I would remove the lamps, clean with steel wool, then coat with dielectric grease and reinstall.

I have the same issue on my '01 GS last season. I've traced it to the rear brake light. Seems that when the bulb loses contact with its connector, the signals flash faster. The GS is on the bench right now for its pre-season check-up, and I'm going to fix this once and for all.

Oh I forgot too mention, I already thought of that and both front and rear bulbs are both blinking at the same time, whether its fast or slow. I will take it apart to confirm that they are not corroded. Thanks for responses, but keep thinking just in case.

Scratching head........if it were a bulb it would probably only affect one side, guess it could be multiple bulb problem. I would be more suspicious of a weak or corroded ground connection.

If you have your turn signals set up as running lights you could have a bad connetion with the wiring. I had this on mine and would get a fast flash on the dash but the front bulb would not flash. Happened again this week-end so yesterday I pulled out the soldering iron and soldered all the connections, problem solved.

You could also have the flasher module going bad. Let's hope not, as it is a real PITA to get to.

Good Luck

They are not set up as running lights, but both the dash and the lights flash at the same speed. something I noticed last night on my way to work, (Temp 65F) was that it didn't blink fast once the whole way, and on my way home from work (temp 45F) it was messing up again. I don't know if it is temperature sensitive or what, Its more of an annoyance than a problem as they are still flashing.
