Sounds like a missing ground up on the front bulb holders. Check your brown wires for good continuity back to battery (-), BMW does not use the frame for a ground return. Then we will go from there.

My 2000 LT has some electrical problems.
I get a fast blink on both left and right turn signals. The rear turn signals light up as the should. The front one's do not. The bulbs are not burnt out. They are brand new.
About 5 seconds after I turn the key to "on" the right rear turn signal will flicker a bit, as though there is a bad connection, and then stay on. If I engage the right turn indicator it will turn off and on as it should. When I disable the indicator it returns to the on state.
I should also mention that neither the cruise control or reverse work anymore. I'm much more concerned about the turn signal situation though, as that can get me in trouble with the popo.
She sits outside in the Florida weather 24/7 and has done so for the last (8) years.
Any guidance on the wiring or where I should start troubleshooting?

I have continuity from the back of the H3 sockets. I was able to get the left bulb out and replace it, but even after some cleaning it was difficult to get continuity from inside the socket. The right bulb is so rusted into the socket I can't get it out without destroying the whole thing. I just ordered some new H3 sockets and will see to what extent that may help the situation.
The rust could be that whole problem.
Now lets address the reverse issue. Do you get the R on the dash when you flip the F/R lever? If you do then what happens when you press the starter button? Nothing? It backs up and stops right away. Does the engine rev up a small amount when you press the button?

When you get your new sockets, pack them with grease before the bulb, that will keep corrosion down. I had a 1971 ford truck and opened the tail lights to find this situation, made sense. Manufactures are too cheap to do this but it works wonders.

That is either a fault in the reverser unit or the side stand switch is bad, but if the side stand switch was bad you would kill the engine whenever you put the bike in gear. You haven't change out or disconnected the battery recently have you?

Most common error is forgetting to hook up the large BLACK wire with a red sleeve to battery +. There are three large black wires for the reverser one has the red sleeve (+), one has a brown sleeve (-) tie point and one has a Black sleeve - starter tie point. If those are hooked up correctly then you have a faulty reverser controller.
