I see you found Ducati Designs.

I have one on my '05 LT, and replaced both bulbs with HID. Wunderbar!

I believe DD discontinued making them a few years ago and was closing out on the odd parts they had left. If you can find one, especially one matching your color, I highly recommend it. If not, simply replacing your standard bulb with HID will still yield a lot more usable light (but your LT will not be as fast as mine! LoL).

Paul Geller was the gentleman that had Ducati Designs. His unit was made of 2 Hella fixtures that were both 90 mm and each used a 65 watt H-9 bulb.

Below is an amazon site with pictures of the low and high beam set. Originally they were made for pre 2005 K1200LT's and used one of each of these. I believe that after 2005 you could get it with the double high beam set, since the 2005 and newer had they extra headlight fixture below the nose.

Here is a link to the install instructions which were also extremely well done.

Close, Ron, but reversed. For the '05 and newer you could get double LOW beam set because of the high beam lamp below. That is what I have, but replaced both low beam units with HID kits.

Regardless, I am absolutely thrilled with the fit and finish of the kit, as well as its effectiveness. Everyone I have talked with about it who has one shares the same opinion... so far. :)

I also have a DD headlight assembly on my '05. This is the best upgrade I have done.
I was very luck and found my DD, in the correct color, on E-Bay about 3 yrs ago.

I had install questions so I called DD. What a great experience talking with the owner.

I asked him why he was ceasing production of this great product. He gave me several reasons:

Too many colors, he had trouble keeping up with the color changes.
And, the one I found most interesting, was LT riders bitching about the cost. It's been a while but he said something like "some guys spend $20,000 for a motorcycle and bitch about paying $300 for an upgrade."

From my experience it has been the best bucks I've spent on my LT.

If you can find one, buy it, you won't be sorry.

I ordered the Piaa 1100x platinums yesterday, along with the hid kit. That will give me ample light, but I will always hold a candle to come across a Ducatti Design headlight one day. Has anyone ever thought about a group buy? If we could get 20 people committed, could we get a deal? Especially if they were just primed...
