Turns out the epoxy solutions suck. Exposer to fuel breaks it down just as some warned
it would. Somewhere along the line someone mentioned a product made by Loctite called 567. It appears to be designed for the petroleum / natural gas industries as a thicker viscosity pipe thread sealant . Three months now with no clamps on both my '06 GS and '07 RT and they are dry as a bone. Not thinking, I purchased a 1.6oz. toothpaste sized tube so I could use less than a .01oz. .I'll take it to our next club meeting and pass it around. The smaller the tube better.

HI VIZ rocks...It's better to be seen than viewed !!!!

I suppose what I'm trying to say is that the epoxy solution is a nonsequitur...a non necessity. If you seal the threads preventing the fuel from reaching the top of the fitting then the fuel will not seep through the cracks that appear to be relegated to the flange only.
